Drew McIntyre is one of the most established WWE Superstars of the past decade, as he won the WWE Championship twice. McIntyre was absent for a long time and fans were worried about his WWE status. All those worries were put to rest after McIntyre returned at the Money In The Bank event. Now it appears he disclosed what he was doing after the Show of Shows.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Drew McIntyre was injured. The injury took place before his highly acclaimed triple threat match against GUNTHER and Sheamus at WrestleMania 39. After the match, he had been absent from in-ring competition.

Thankfully, Drew McIntyre made his return during the Money In The Bank Premium Live Event and confronted Gunther before laying him out. While speaking on the Cheap Heat podcast, The Scottish Warrior revealed what he did while he was away from WWE after WrestleMania 39.

“It was a unique situation where what was going on, I had to get a couple of things fixed but it didn’t require physical therapy like a lot of things I’ve had to deal with in the past,” McIntyre said. “So I was able to enjoy my time and spend time with the family and the cats and get some projects taken care of outside of the ring. Sometimes stepping and getting a view outside the bubble is something that is very helpful for where you want to go as a person and with your career.”

“I’ve learned the hard way when I was younger getting fired [from WWE] and I had to step outside the bubble and get perspective again. And this opportunity allowed me to see things a little clearer and allowed people to talk a lot on the internet

Drew McIntyre will battle it out with Gunther at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event. We’ll have to wait and see whether he will be able to topple The Ring General this week at the event.
