AEW has certainly come a long way since its inception back in 2019, as it has undergone quite a few improvements over the course of four years. Even then, some believe there are quite a few issues with AEW. Now it appears Triple H even called AEW a secondary promotion.

Cody Rhodes was one of the major stars since the very beginning of AEW, as he was involved in numerous major storylines from the very beginning. That said, he left AEW and returned to WWE last year and has been a staple since then.

The American Nightmare’s documentary will be releasing soon and fans are extremely excited for it. During a preview of the documentary, Rhodes said that he left AEW due to a personal issue and nothing related to money.

Cody Rhodes then said that a by-product of him leaving AEW allowed him to go after the biggest and first dream he ever had in his life.

This was followed up by a comment from Triple H, who talked about Cody Rhodes. He claimed that Cody didn’t grow up wanting to be ‘the champion or the face of a secondary promotion’.

Cody Rhodes will forever be grateful for his time in AEW, but WWE will always be his focus from now on. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see if he will be able to complete the story.
