Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s name is known far and wide for being one of the biggest and most influential stars in the pro wrestling business. He is also a Hollywood megastar and continues to make hit after hit. That being said, it appears he helped out a UFC fighter in a big way.

Zimbabwe-born mixed martial arts fighter Themba Gorimbo won his first UFC fight back in May by beating Takashi Sato. Following his win, Gorimbo revealed that he had $7 in his bank account before stepping into the octagon.

This certainly touched The Rock, as he took to his Twitter and uploaded a video of himself, meeting the UFC fighter. When Gorimbo turned around and saw The Rock, he jumped out of his seat and hugged him. The Rock then revealed that he gave him some financial assistance as well.

We’ve never met but I had to fly to Miami to look this man @TheAnswerMMA in the eyes, hug him and shake his hand. I’ve been moved & motivated by his story ❤️

He recently won his first fight in the @ufc . He had $7 bucks in his bank account when he won.

He sleeps on a couch in the gym.

After the fight, he sold his fight gear (trunks & gloves) on line and made $7,000. Instead of using the money to find a place to live, he built a bush pump so his village back in Zimbabwe can have clean water.

He never asked me for anything, but I just wanted to help the guy out. $7 Bucks ya know. And I felt the MANA & emotion in every hug

😊💪🏾 Very good and very special day.

The Rock also revealed how pro wrestling saved his relationship with his daughter. The Rock will always continue to help those in need with heartfelt gestures and that is unlikely to ever change.
