Gunther Hints At Imperium Losing A Member

Gunther’s incredible performance in NXT UK was simply just the beginning of his career in WWE. Following a decent run on NXT after that, Gunther was called up to the main roster and has since become a bonafide star there. He is the leader of Imperium and it appears he might kick out one member from the faction.

The Ring General won the WWE Intercontinental Championship in June 2022 and has since defended it several times already. With each win, Gunther’s stock continues to rise and he becomes more and more dominating.

Alongside Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci, Gunther strikes fear into the hearts of his foes as the leader of Imperium. The faction continues to reign over WWE and fans do wonder if more members will be added to the group.

That said, Giovani Vinci has been underperforming for the past couple of weeks, as Gunther yelled at him after a loss during the July 10th episode of Monday Night RAW. While speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Riju Dasgupta, Gunther talked about Vinci’s future in the faction and made it clear his future is uncertain.

“That’s to be determined, I guess, how things go, especially us in Imperium, everybody in there wants to be the absolute elite and wants to be at the absolute top, and sometimes when you fail to deliver that, there are consequences for that and it’s on you to make up again for that situation. So far this hasn’t happened.”

As previously reported, WWE is already discussing having Gunther break The Honky Tonk Man’s record as the Intercontinental Champion. It remains to be seen whether Giovanni Vinci will be kicked out of Imperium in the end.
