WWE is known for their stories that captivated fans for years to come. They can’t all be action-packed, because some of the most beloved angles were romances. That being said, they didn’t all have storybook endings.
In 2020, WWE fans watched a romantic relationship unfold between Otis and Mandy Rose. Otis was pursuing the affections of Rose, while Sonya Deville and Dolph Ziggler schemed to keep them apart. However, at WrestleMania 36, the tables turned when the former NXT Women’s Champion, Rose, betrayed Ziggler and joined forces with Otis. That was quite a storyline to unfold during the pandemic.
Mandy Rose recently took to her Instagram to interact with her fans and address their queries. One fan, who loved the Otis and Mandy Rose storyline, considered it as one of the greatest love stories in wrestling history. They asked if Rose recognized its significance in WWE history. In response, the former Toxic Attraction leader said that she wishes the angle had a better ending.
“I know. Wasn’t it like the greatest thing ever? I just really wish it had a better ending. But, what you’re gonna do?”
Things fizzled out between Mandy Rose and Otis, but the big man eventually found a new female partner in Maxxine Dupri. They are currently involved in the Alpha Academy storyline, but their romantic tension isn’t anything compared to Otis’ fling with the Golden Goddess.
Otis is still going in WWE, but Mandy Rose left that life behind her. Although she never ruled out a return to the ring, WWE fired her over that NSFW side hustle of hers, and she hasn’t looked back since, after cashing massive checks in the process.
