Bray Wyatt was set to battle Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania, but the Eater of Worlds vanished on the road to the show of shows. With SummerSlam coming up, some fans are hopeful that he will return. Sadly, we have some bad news for them.

Bray Wyatt’s story in WWE is an interesting one. After his first gimmick, Husky Harris, failed on the main roster, he told Vince McMahon that he would be back. After toiling away in NXT for a while, he emerged with a brand-new new character called Bray Wyatt.

The Wyatt Family dominated WWE programming for the longest time, but that came to an end as well. A few years later, Bray Wyatt was eventually released from his WWE contract. Then he was brought back after a long absence from the ring.

Ringside News reached out to inquire whether Bray Wyatt’s latest hiatus from pro wrestling will end at SummerSlam. We were told that there are no creative plans for Wyatt for the biggest part of the summer.

A tenured source in the WWE creative team confirmed that Bray Wyatt is not on the company’s internal roster either. That being said, his return is still not being discussed, because he is not medically cleared to compete yet.

Alexa Bliss is out of action as she is expecting her and Ryan Cabrera’s first child, but there was a thought that she would reunite with Bray Wyatt. Bo Dallas, who was playing Uncle Howdy, was put on the back burner as well. Needless to say, Bray Wyatt’s absence from WWE television affected more than just him.

Bray Wyatt is still under WWE contract, and we have heard no rumors about backstage issues like he had before his release. Hopefully, he will be able to make a return to the ring soon, because he certainly has a ton of fans pulling for him.

Bray Wyatt is likely a future WWE Hall of Famer, but should the Wyatt Family get their own induction? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
