John Cena is one of the biggest names in professional wrestling, as he was the face of WWE for well over a decade. He is now a part-timer, having a busy schedule in Hollywood. That said, it appears he was absent from the ‘Barbie’ premiere for a good reason.

The Leader Of Cenation never fails to give it his best no matter what role he is given and his Hollywood accomplishments in the past few years speak for themselves. This includes his roles in films such as ‘The Suicide Squad’ and ‘Peacemaker’ and even the ‘Fast & Furious’ movies.

John Cena will also star in Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated film ‘Barbie,’ where he will be portraying the role of mermaid. Naturally, fans are very hyped to see how he will perform in the role.

In anticipation of the film’s release, a special premiere of ‘Barbie’ was held recently and it featured several actors as well as WWE Superstars, who all appeared during the red carpet event. However, John Cena simply could not be seen anywhere at the event.

The very likely reason for his absence can be attributed to the fact that he is currently filming Head of State in London alongside Idris Elba and Priyanka Chopra. Since the project only started its filming in May this year, it is likely Cena couldn’t spare time to go back for the ‘Barbie’ premiere.

With the film set to release on July 21st this year, anticipation for the release is at an all-time high. Only time will tell whether the film will be able to live up to the insane expectations.
