In an exciting update for fans of All Elite Wrestling, a new report has revealed that former AEW champions Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland are set to finally have a singles match.

Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland joined AEW in 2022 and quickly formed a successful tag team known as “Swerve In Our Glory.” They captured the AEW World Tag Team Championships on the July 13, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite. However, their reign came to an end after losing to The Acclaimed, which ultimately led to their breakup with Strickland aligning himself with “The Mogul Affiliates” and attacking Lee with a cement block-assisted double stomp.

On the July 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, the former tag team champions reunited but were unsuccessful in their match against Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy in the Blind Eliminator Tournament.

According to a report from Fightful Select, plans are now in place to finally have a singles match between Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee “at some point.” Despite having crossed paths in battle royals and tag team matches, the two have never faced each other in a one-on-one encounter within AEW.
