Lacey Evans has undeniable star power in WWE and has an indomitable spirit. That said, her booking in the past few years has left a lot to be desired. Now it appears Sgt. Slaughter went after her once again due to Evans’ presentation

Lacey Evans sported a new look after she returned, wearing a camouflage jacket and hat, similar to Sgt. Slaughter. This led to Slaughter’s daughter calling her out for stealing his look. This essentially opened up a can of worms with even Sgt. Slaughter getting involved in a big way.

Sgt. Slaughter previously expressed his belief that WWE should have sought his permission before allowing Lacey Evans to incorporate the Cobra Clutch into her move-set. This discussion is clearly an ongoing one, as Slaughter isn’t done talking about it.

While speaking with Bill Apter, Sgt. Slaughter explained why he really does not like Lacey Evans’ gimmick and feels it is disrespectful in general. Slaughter then blasted Evans for selling her body despite having a military gimmick.

“I kinda just dropped it. I didn’t watch it [SmackDown] any further. My daughter kinda got a little upset that now she’s coming out with the campaign cover [hat] on and she’s got a big cobra on the front of it, and she’s got her outfit on and showing a lot of cleavage.

To me, that’s selling sex. That’s not selling that you’re a tough S.O.B. from the Marine Corps. She should have a t-shirt on and have the combat boots on and have those fatigues on. If you wanna emulate Sgt. Slaughter and you’re from the Marine Corps and you’re a drill instructor, act like one. Be one.”

Sgt. Slaughter wasn’t happy about Lacey Evans using his move either. WWE also has no plans to push Lacey Evans despite her return. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what will become of Lacey Evans in the end.
