Bianca Belair Initially Doubted Controversial 26-Second Becky Lynch Squash Match

Bianca Belair is undoubtedly one of the top female stars in all of WWE right now and she has worked hard to establish herself in the company. She has been involved in many memorable feuds in the past couple of years, including Becky Lynch. Belair initially doubted the controversial 26-second Becky Lynch squash match.

Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch were engaged in a feud for a long time. It began after Lynch returned and beat Belair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2021.

At that particular Premium Live Event, Becky Lynch returned after over a year away from WWE television. Shockingly, Becky Lynch ended up squashing Belair in 26 seconds, shocking fans all over the world.

While speaking to Daily Mail, Bianca Belair talked about getting squashed by Becky Lynch. Belair stated that she initially doubted the controversial match in a big way.

“Becky and I, we didn’t start on the best of terms, going all the way back to SummerSlam, but respect builds and got develop friendships along the way.

I will say initially it was hard. Like, why is this happening, did I do something wrong? John Cena was there that night and he shared some words with me and helped me see the bigger picture. His words will always stick with me.

I was thinking about 26 seconds SummerSlam the other day, and I got to main event WrestleMania. That did a lot for my career, but the 26 seconds did just as much and in the long run it really worked out. I’m so proud of the work Becky and I did. A full year storyline that we brought full circle and she advocated and worked for that. It really worked out for me.”

Bianca Belair is currently feuding with Asuka and Charlotte Flair while Becky Lynch is feuding with Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark. We’ll have to wait and see how their respective feuds will progress in the coming weeks.
