Carlito was one of better known WWE Superstars during his time in the company, where he won championship gold a few times. Following his WWE release, he returned to the company only a couple of times in the last decade – with his Backlash return being the most well-received one. After a lot of discussions, it appears that Carlito has inked a deal with WWE.

The pro wrestling veteran returned during Bad Bunny and Damian Priest’s San Juan Street Fight at the Backlash Premium Live Event. The pro wrestling veteran came out to even the odds after The Judgment Day interfered in the match.

As previously reported, Carlito was rumored to have signed contract with WWE as he pulled out of an upcoming indie show. In fact, it was said that Carlito told even more promoters that he signed with WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that Carlito has signed a deal to make his WWE return as part of his report on the WWC 50th anniversary show that took place on 6/24 in Bayamon.

“The fans really wanted Carlito to win, but since he just signed with WWE, he couldn’t. Intelecto is very good for this level but fans were into the old-timers so he wasn’t over. Carlito got a standing ovation after the kissed the ring and Savinovich did tease his going to WWE.”

A major spoiler regarding Carlito’s return was also revealed recently. Carlito even joked that his indie wrestling price will be going up after WWE Backlash. Regardless, we’ll have to see how Carlito will be booked once he returns next month.
