Chris Jericho is a genuine veteran in the pro wrestling business, having been a part of it for thirty years now. Jericho has shown time and time again that he is very selfless when it comes to putting over talent. That said, it appears he called out a fan who thinks modern pro wrestling is ‘gayish.’

Le Champion has faced off against numerous talented pro wrestlers over the course of his four years in AEW. Jericho has never failed to put over talent such as MJF, Orange Cassidy, Action Andretti and more. He even lost to all of the above talent and more in order to establish them.

A fan took to Twitter and commented on a clip of Chris Jericho and Minoru Suzuki doing a special handshake ahead of AEW Forbidden Door. The fan stated that he misses the older days of pro wrestling and doesn’t like how modern pro wrestling is ‘gayish.’

Chris Jericho didn’t fail to notice the fan’s homophobic comments and decided to call him out on it, asking him to explain the last statement.

Please explain that last statement, Bulk.

The fan’s comment comes at a time when Anthony Bowens had a wonderful moment on Rampage, where fans cheered ‘He’s gay’ without any malice. Regardless, homophobia has no place in wrestling and Chris Jericho hopes people understand that.
