AEW’s announcement about its first venture into the video game industry was well received, as it was the first time since TNA’s game in 2008 that WWE games will finally have some competition. Fight Forever will release soon and it appears the game might give rise to a franchise if it ends up selling well.

AEW: Fight Forever’ had seen a ton of delays since its announcement in November 2020. This has made fans believe was never going to see the light of day, but that wasn’t the case.

As fans know by now, it was officially announced that AEW: Fight Forever will be dropping on June 29th on all modern consoles as well as on PC. The game will also feature ton of blood, which is an enticing aspect for many fans.

With this being AEW’s first attempt at a video game, there are a lot of expectations from the game. While speaking to SEScoops, Nik Sobic, senior vice president of business development, partnerships, and video games, stated that if Fight Forever does well – then AEW will invest in a game franchise.

“I’ve worked at AEW and known Tony Khan for the last 10 years. I can pretty much tell you he is one of the most generous people I’ve ever met. I can tell you if this video game does well, we’re going to take those dollars and put that into an AEW video game franchise. Fans speak with their wallets.”

The game will also feature several easter eggs. The game will also feature Owen Hart as playable character. We will have to wait and see how AEW Fight Forever is received by gamers, as fans are certainly excited about its release next month.
