Andrade El Idolo had a world of momentum behind him after deuting in AEW back in 2021. A series of injuries marred his run and he was placed on the shelf for a long time. Now he came back during Collision and it appears Idolo used a move he claimed he couldn’t anymore.

The Mexican star finally returned on the debut episode of AEW Collision and squared off against Buddy Matthews in a thrilling contest. This was a rematch from their time in WWE and fans were not disappointed.

As pointed out by a fan, Andrade El Idolo hit a spinning elbow move during his match with Matthews. Idolo himself claimed in the past that he could no longer perform that move, which is why it was a surprise when he used it last night.

Looks like Andrade can use this move again #AEWcollision

In the end, El Idolo won the match using Charlotte Flair’s Figure 8. Charlotte Flair also reacted to his big win. Now it remains to be seen how AEW will be booking Andrade El Idolo now that he is back.
