Andrade El Idolo Wins AEW Return Match With Charlotte Flair’s Finisher

Andrade El Idolo hasn’t been seen in AEW for a very long time. That wait for Andrade’s AEW return ended this week during Collision’s premiere episode, and he had quite a banger for Chicago.

Andrade El Idolo took on Buddy Matthews during AEW Collision this week. That was quite a match, and the Chicago fans were at a fever pitch many times througout the match.

Buddy Matthews sold a hurt knee throughout the match. This was done several times, and it even caused him to miss a powerbomb from the top rope on Andrade.

In the end, Andrade exploited Buddy Matthews’ knee injury in a big way. Andrade slapped on a figure 8 and got the submission victory.

This was an obvious nod to Charlotte Flair, Andrade El Idolo’s wife. After all, she’s won her fair share of matches with that very move in WWE.

After the match was over, the House of Black still invaded the ring and took out Andrade El Idolo. Fans might not have seen the last of those two in the ring, and that might not be a bad thing.
