Ryback’s reputation continues to plummet, and no one wants to have anything to do with him now. This is especially because of how he has been acting on social media over the past seven years. Ryback has been calling out Goldberg for a match and it appears Dutch Mantel believes no one wants to see them square off against each other.
WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg has done a lot for the business, but he is still a free agent after his WWE contract expired. Ringside News exclusively reported that Goldberg is not happy about the status of his retirement match. It was also reported that Goldberg’s retirement match is not concern for WWE.
Ryback announced that he is set to return to the ring after long hiatus. Due to this, Ryback previously called out Goldberg for a retirement match. He doubled down on his desire to face the WWE Hall Of Famer as well.
While speaking on his Story Time with Dutch Mantel podcast, Dutch Mantel talked about a potential match between Ryback and Goldberg. Mantel made it clear that he believes no one wants to watch them face each other in a match.
“I don’t think [Ryback] has been in the business long enough to claim dementia. I mean,” I don’t know what he’s thinking. I don’t think it could fill up a 2000 seat hall and if you put it on pay-per-view, you couldn’t charge but $10 for it or $9 and I don’t think they would get that many buys then. Nobody wants to see Goldberg and Ryback.”
AEW President Tony Khan also confirmed he has talked to Goldberg recently. It remains to be seen whether Ryback will get his wish and face off against Goldberg at AEW All In in August.
