EC3’s career in WWE has been largely criticized by fans as the company has underutilized him on the main roster. He eventually parted ways with WWE back in 2020 and has never looked back since. Now it appears that EC3 called out Goldberg for a retirement match.

After his departure, EC3 made his return to Impact Wrestling where he had a brief stint. After that, he competed in other promotions, including ROH and eventually founded his Control Your Narrative promotion. However, that endeavour did not prove to be a successful one.

In case you forgot, WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg has done a lot for the business, but he remains a free agent after his WWE contract expired. Obviously, his retirement match is a major talking point even now.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Goldberg is not happy about the status of his retirement match. It was also reported that Goldberg’s retirement match is not concern for WWE.

While speaking on The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 called out Goldberg for a retirement match and stated that he can easily defeat the legend while making light of Goldberg’s undefeated streak.

“173-0, big deal, you had to lose to a cattle prod and a big sexy powerbomb? I eat big sexy powerbombs for breakfast! Then you know what, I s** Goldberg out of my a******.

“EC3, whose undefeated streak was actually legitimate and consistent for many, many years in Impact [wrestling], and I never lost to a Cattle Prod. Not once!

“So Bill, if you want your final match, have it against the final man to beat you – EC3! I’ll catch that spear, drop him on his bald head, and boom! Just like that. You know what? I’d probably make him tap too.”

EC3 isn’t the only one who called out Goldberg for retirement match as Ryback did the same a couple of times already. Regardless, we will have to wait and see who Goldberg will square off against in his retirement match.

What’s your view on EC3 calling out Goldberg for a retirement match? Do you think Goldberg will accept? Let us know in the comments!
