WWE Is Pushing Baron Corbin In A Very Unique Way

WWE changed things up with the 2023 Draft, and they have quite a few free agents that can hop from the main roster to developmental. They have a very interesting plan in place for Baron Corbin.

Baron Corbin showed up in NXT, and it appears that he will face Carmelo Hayes for his NXT Title. It also looks like Baron Corbin isn’t going to have the best time in the process.

During Wrestlign Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brought up Baron Corbin’s booking in WWE. Right now, they are focusing on his push by making him lose. It also seems that this is Triple H’s call, and not Vince McMahon.

You know what, they’re grooming Corbin for a championship match in NXT in the best way possible. He lost to Grimes. He lost in a minute here. You know, this is Triple H booking, not Vince McMahon booking.

Before they’d go, ‘oh my god, they’re totally screwing NXT,’ but you know, it’s like, they’re not. This is just the way that they’re getting Corbin over by having him lose to everyone on SmackDown. That’s the idea.

We will have to see how Baron Corbin’s situation in NXT pans out. He’s not having the best time, but he’s also gotten over many times by losing in front of fans, and that didn’t seem to hurt his character much along the way.
