Braun Strowman was one of the most surprising pandemic firings that Vince McMahan handed down. Now, he is back in WWE after Triple H re-hired Strowman to give him a second chance. Sadly, he is forced to take long hiatus now due to injury.

Braun Strowman is a former Universal Champion, and he has a WrestleMania win over Goldberg to his name. Fans were excited to see what was next for him, but then an unexpected injury put a halt to all of that.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Braun Strowman had his neck surgery this week. It was also reported that the typical recovery time for an injury like that is around a year.

Strowman, 39, underwent neck fusion surgery on his C-4 and C-5 vertebrae this past week at the Andrews Sports Medicine clinic in Birmingham. Generally neck fusion surgery is just over one year out of action

Braun Strowman was just getting momentum back after he suffered a concussion that took him out of action for a short while before his neck injury. Now, his tag team with Ricochet is over, for now, and he is recovering at home.

A neck procedure probably isn’t what Braun Strowman had on his vision board for 2023, but he will have plenty of motivation to make his way back to the ring asap.
