Sting shocked the world when he made his debut in AEW back in December 2020. Since then, he has been featured heavily on AEW television, being paired up with Darby Allin. With his appearance in AEW Fight Forever, it appears that Sting will achieve a very unique feat in wrestling video game history.

Despite being over 60, Sting certainly has been competing at an unexpectedly high level, and that has certainly impressed fans and pro wrestlers alike. He has also taken part in cinematic matches and various other matches in the past.

As fans are aware by now, it was officially announced that AEW: Fight Forever will be dropping on June 29th on all modern consoles as well as on PC and fans simply can’t wait for it to release.

As pointed out by Will Washington, Sting has appeared as an active competitor in wrestling games from four different promotions, spanning six different console generations. This is a very unique feat that no one wrestler has managed to accomplish till now and is unlikely anyone ever will.

It’s pretty damn cool that Sting has appeared as an active performer in wrestling games from four different promotions (and also independently in Legends of Wrestling) spanning across six different console generations.

AEW Fight Forever could also be playable on Steam Deck. With Sting likely to end his AEW career within the next year or two, it is likely Fight Forever will be the last video game to feature him as an active wrestler. We’ll have to see how the game will be received by fans and critics alike.

What’s your opinion on this unique feat by Sting? Are you looking forward to playing the game? Let us know in the comments!
