Eric Bischoff and Sting got to work with each other for years as a part of WCW. It seems that their friendship did not continue after their professional relationship ended.

During a recent episode of his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff opened up about his time with Sting. Then when WCW ended, and Bischoff’s time in TNA expired as well, he removed himself from the pro wrestling world and lost touch with a lot of people. Sting was included in the list of people that he ceased communication with.

“We got very close, obviously the Sturgis [motorcycle rally] stuff, we rode a lot together and all that.”

“I just kinda removed myself from the world of wrestling. Anybody that really knows me pretty well, including my family, knows I’m just not good on the phone … I kinda lost touch with [Sting], not over an issue or anything, just kinda went our separate ways.”

According to Eric Bischoff, he saw the WWE Hall of Famer again on a plane before both men ended up in TNA Wrestling. [I] talked to him on the plane, was very cordial and was like, ‘let’s stay in touch.'”

Eric Bischoff is not the biggest fan of AEW, Sting’s current employer. Still, Sting and Easy E’s relationship could always come back at full force with one phone call.
