CM Punk remains one of the biggest and most controversial names in the history of professional wrestling and that’s highly unlikely to change anytime soon. He will finally make his return at AEW Collision’s debut episode and now it appears that AEW has taken measures to prevent talents from walking out because of Punk’s return.

The Second City Saint had been absent since All Out last year and fans wondered if he would ever come back. It was then reported that The Second City Saint will be returning to AEW programming as the main attraction for their new show AEW Collision.

Of course, that is exactly what happened as it was announced on Dynamite last week that CM Punk will appear during the debut episode of AEW Collision. That said, there were a lot of mixed reactions to this announcement.

According to Sean Ross Sapp on the Backstage Report podcast, it was noted that AEW has taken measures to prevent talents from walking out because of Punk’s return to the company this month.

Things have just [cooled] off. And AEW has definitely taken measures, as much talent do have issues with Punk, they are making sure to keep those separated, so to speak.”

We will have to wait and see how CM Punk’s return to AEW television will influence the company as a whole. After all, many people have been clamoring to see the Second City Saint for so long.
