WWE launched various programs over the years, and Next in Line is one of them. That said, they are not the only ones to utilize the NIL program as a variety of sports have used it for maximum efficiency. Now it appears that NIL athlete Derrian Gobourne will be making her way to the WWE Performance Center.

The NIL program in WWE has already produced some solid stars who transitioned from other competitive sports into professional wrestling, including the likes of Tiffany Stratton, Sol Ruca and others.

In the summer of 2022, WWE unveiled the lineup for their highly anticipated second ‘Next In Line’ class, which included the talented Auburn University gymnast, Derrian Gobourne. Obviously, fans were excited to see what the young athlete is capable of in the company.

Derrian Gobourne’s mother, Tikisha Gobourne, posted a photo of her daughter with a WWE-branded duffle bag as she made her way to the WWE Performance Center. Clearly, she was proud of her young daughter.

“And she’s off to The WWE Performance Center.

Thank you we will keep you guys posted on this journey. It’s a two-part journey. Part one is this week. And then the last part of her audition is on June 19 and 20th and we will have the final word on whether or not they offer her a contract then.”

WWE introduced their Performance Center spring 2023 rookie class earlier this week. We will have to see whether WWE will continue to hire more athletes in the coming months, as SummerSlam is approaching.

What’s your view on this story? Do you think she has a bright future in WWE? Let us know in the comments!
