A highly anticipated dream match has been confirmed for the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event.
During today’s NJPW Dominion show, a confrontation unfolded between Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tomohiro Ishii, Shota Umino, Jon Moxley, and Claudio Castagnoli.
Following the match, a video aired featuring AEW’s Bryan Danielson walking through a desert. In the footage, Danielson expressed his ability to make it rain anywhere. He then issued a direct challenge to Okada, proposing a match between the two at the Forbidden Door event.
The Forbidden Door event, scheduled for June 25 in Toronto, Canada, will provide the stage for this encounter between the two wrestlers.
In addition to this development, it was revealed that Will Ospreay earned himself coveted opportunity to challenge Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Championship at the Forbidden Door event.
