Pat McAfee became a big name in the world of the NFL before making his way to WWE. Fans had no idea just how integral McAfee would become in the company during his tenure there While McAfee is absent from WWE again, it appears he is working on making his return.

Pat McAfee made his WWE debut in 2018 and quickly established a feud with Adam Cole. By 2021, he had transitioned to being a color commentator on SmackDown, joining Michael Cole.

Even Michael Cole himself would go on record and state that Pat McAfee reignited his passion for pro wrestling. He was last seen on WWE television during the Royal Rumble and has been absent since. A lot happened after that, as he became father and even secured lucrative deal with ESPN.

So Nick knows pretty much all of these humans that I was kind of talking to and everything like that. Nick Khan was like a ghost in this thing where I’d be like, ‘This person, what type of person are they?’ That type of stuff.

He would send me back like boom, boom, boom, bang, pow. Think about this. Thank you so it’s like, my relationship with the WWE, I don’t wanna say it’s stronger than it’s ever been, but actually stronger than it’s ever been and we are all very much talking about how I get back into the universe because I love it.

We talked about this earlier. I love it, I think I’m good at it, I think I’m supposed to be in there. I understand why people are doing things.

I think that’s why commentating was a good spot for me alongside Michael Cole, the greatest of all time. Getting to get Stunned by Stone Cold Steve Austin, I lived out like dream after dream after dream over there.

I love that place. Our relationship is very strong so I know you said you can say anything to that but actually, I think we’re working. We’re all trying to figure it out.

Pat McAfee will also get a ton of money every year from his insane ESPN deal. Pat McAfee also took shot at AEW Double Or Nothing for their empty seats. It remains to be seen when McAfee will return to WWE, as it might still be a while.

What’s your view on Pat McAfee? Do you want to see him return to WWE? Sound off in the comments!
