Seth Rollins won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions. He defeated AJ Styles in Saudi Arabia to kick off the historic show. Now, we are looking to the future, and WWE doesn’t seem to be going in the direction that some fans expected them to.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s current situation with Seth Rollins. Although he did not credit our exclusive report, he did confirm it. A few other possible scenarios were also thrown out there for the Drip God.

“So they are doing another match [Lesnar and Rhodes]. I don’t know if it’s gonna be in London or it’ll be in Detroit, but they are definitely doing another match. And I did check and there is nothing in the cards right now for Lesnar with Seth Rollins.”

“It’s not. I mean, they could do it later, but it’s nothing that’s in the plans right now. It’s just Lesnar with Cody. I don’t know how Seth wrestles. I thought maybe we would find out. I thought maybe it’d be like Damien Priest, but then, by the end of the show tonight, it was….when that thing was over, it’s like, I don’t think they’re gonna go to Seth and Damian Priest because if they did, all I would say is what a stupid finish they did.”

We will have to see what WWE does next with Seth Rollins’ next challenger. They certainly have a plan, but they didn’t get that off the ground this week. The Visionary still had quite a reception as the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Seth Rollins and AJ Styles are apparently very friendly now, so it’s not likely that the Phenomenal One will be his next challenger. The fact that the OC is a SmackDown stable also keeps that from happening.

WWE has a lot of choices for Seth Rollins’ next challenger, but it is also apparent that other things are in motion that can’t be disrupted right now. Only time will tell who steps up to Rollins next, but he will likely defend that title at Money in the Bank in London’s O2 Arena on July 1st.
