Claudio Castagnoli made his AEW debut during the Forbidden Door event, following his WWE departure earlier last year. Since then, Castagnoli has seen reasonable success as a two-time ROH World Champion and will now be making his NJPW debut very soon.

Claudio Castagnoli is part of the Blackpool Combat Club alongside Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta. They are currently feuding with The Elite and are the biggest heel faction in AEW right now.

It was recently announced that Jon Moxley will be appearing at the NJPW Dominion event on June 4. During the Best of Super Juniors final event, Shota Umino announced that he will be teaming up with Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli.

While their opponents have yet to be announced, fans believe they will likely square off against Kazuchika Okada, Rocky Romero and Tomohiro Ishii, who are currently the NEVER 6-Man Openweight Tag Team Champions. This will also mark Castagnoli’s official NJPW debut in his career.

Before that, Claudio Castagnoli will be joining his Blackpool Combat Club brethren and square off against Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and Adam Page at AEW Double Or Nothing tonight. We’ll have to see how they will fare in the match.
