AEW has inked deals with several stars who could do a lot to help their company out. Tony Khan’s company just signed Aussie Open to contracts, but the team isn’t ready to go just yet.

Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher are amazing pro wrestlers, but only Fletcher is good to go. After all, he competed on AEW Dynamite this week in a losing effort against Orange Cassidy.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Mark Davis is currently out of action with a torn meniscus. This injury was not previously reported.

The injury was never stated but Davis suffered a torn meniscus and underwent arthroscopic knee surgery. We were told that they were hoping he’d be back in four-to-six weeks. In New Japan, the rules are (and granted, they violated those rules with Karl Anderson as Never champion when he missed an advertised title defense) that if a title match is advertised and for whatever reason the champion doesn’t appear, whether a legit injury or even a travel issue, the title is stripped.`

Although Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher will have to wait to team up in AEW, they already have a library of spectacular matches under their belt. Only time will tell when they get to start raking up those impressive moments in AEW.

Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher have a ton of potential, but sadly, Davis’ torn meniscus injury will likely not be 100% by the time June 25th’s Forbidden Door 2 event rolls around. It would still be nice if AEW could feature him on television in the meantime, as they have with other injured wrestlers.
