Randy Orton needed back fusion surgery last year, and he hasn’t wrestled since. The Viper was around for WrestleMania, but he didn’t appear on-screen at all. Sadly, it might be an even longer wait to see Orton on television again.

Matt Riddle returned to WWE television after WrestleMania. Then a brand new personal scandal erupted when his nude video leak went viral. We will have to see what WWE does with Riddle next, but an RK-Bro reunion isn’t likely.

Cowboy Bob Orton, WWE Hall of Famer and father of Randy Orton, recently spoke to Bill Apter when his son came up in the conversation. Cowboy then revealed that The Viper’s doctors told him not to return.

“He’s training, so we’ll see what happens; I don’t know. If he feels like he’s ready to go back, I think he might, but again he’s pretty well taken care of. I don’t think he need [sic] to. And I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy wants to do.”

We will have to see what is next for Randy Orton. Obviously, his return to WWE could do big business against the right opponent. Hopefully, we haven’t seen the last of him in the ring yet.

Randy Orton could return to WWE, because plenty of Superstars have gone against doctor’s advisement in the past. Only time will tell how long of a wait it will be until Orton feels like he can pop off an RKO outta nowhere again.

What’s your take on Randy Orton’s WWE hiatus? Do you think he will ever make a return to the ring? Sound off in the comments!
