Wardlow found himself as TNT Champion once again, and one would think that having him attached to your event would be a big deal. That only helps Wardlow drive up his asking price, and he’s charging a lot for appearances.

A recent photo emerged of Wardlow at a meet & greet, and he looked quite lonely. There was nobody in line to see him either, and the look on his face was less than enthused.

The caption for the photo that went viral noted that this is what happens when AEW gives a “Goldberg push to a guy with half of your muscles who fights with hands in his pockets.” Obviously, this was taking a dig at how AEW books Orange Cassidy compared to Wardlow.

When they give your #Goldberg push to a guy with half of your muscles who fights with his hands in his pockets.

Brad Shepard chimed in, and he brought up a very interesting point. He said that Wardlow makes at least $10k per appearance, and this is the reception he’s received.

A source confirmed to me that #Wardlow charges 5 figures for a convention appearance. #AEW Pretty wild when you look at his line (or lack thereof).

We’ll have to see if Wardlow has something to say about this. So far, he has avoided any public commentary on the matter. Only time will tell if things improve for Wardlow, but it certainly looks like this picture was taken during a dull moment at the convention.

What’s your take on Wardlow’s booking in AEW? Is Tony Khan ruining him? Sound off in the comments!
