Things are always changing around WWE. With so much going on, it can get a bit overwhelming, and now employees of the company must also deal with a new work routine on top of everything.

WWE made call this week that their employees’ time working remotely from home is coming to an end. They’ve been able to work from home since the pandemic, but a new merger with the UFC coupled with a move to a new corporate headquarters will fall right around the time when employees return to the offices. A lot of people believe that this was call was Vince McMahon’s decision.

As we previously reported, WWE CEO Nick Khan sent out an email to employees to let them know that they will be required to return to work. The original date given was May 1st, but then a second email was sent out the next day which moved the date to May 7th.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that a lot of WWE employees are under the impression that moving back to the offices was one man’s call. Since Vince McMahon just returned to the company, the assumption is that this shocking decision came from him.

“This shocked employees who had been working from home because it was such short notice. Employees figured that was from Vince McMahon because he is the person back in charge”

Many employees are afraid of losing their jobs right now. After all, companies tend to go through mass firings after mergers to eliminate redundancies. Hopefully, this isn’t the case, but the fear is still there.

We’ll have to see what this situation looks like in a few months. Endeavor’s deal to merger the UFC and WWE is still in process, so the changes within those companies could only just be starting.

What’s your take on Vince McMahon’s return to WWE? Is he gearing things up for a mass firing in his company? Sound off in the comments!
