WWE usually lets former Superstars backstage if the company travels through their home city. RAW is in Chicago this week, and that brought a very interesting name to the Allstate Center.

According to PW Insider, CM Punk was backstage at WWE RAW this week. He showed up and actually spoke to a few people, but that visit did not last long at all.

It was noted that CM Punk was backstage before WWE RAW “for a bit,” and that is a big surprise. After all, Punk hasn’t been around WWE since 2014. It was also noted that he spoke to Triple H a bit as well.

CM Punk was eventually asked to leave the arena. He still spoke to a few of his old co-workers and had some fun. We have not heard anything about whether his ejection from the arena was a weird situation at all.

CM Punk is still under AEW contract. That very well could have contributed to why he was not allowed to stick around backstage. Then again, his history with the company could have played into the decision that CM Punk should be asked to leave.
