Mercedes Mone might have dropped the IWGP Women’s Championship, but she’s far from finished with her journey in Japan. The former Sasha Banks inked a new deal with NJPW, and now her next destination is set.

We previously reported that Mercedes Mone lost the IWGP Women’s Championship to Mayu Iwatani at Sunday’s STARDOM’s All Star Grand Queendom event. Mayu is the same woman that Mone directed her cringe-worthy musical promo toward.

NJPW made it official that May 21st in Long Beach will see Mercedes Mone’s return to the company. She might not be sticking around in Japan, but the former WWE Superstar will still be working for NJPW.

@mercedesvarnado may have lost the IWGP Women’s Championship tonight in Yokohama, but she is not done with NJPW or STARDOM!

“Next stop May 21, Long Beach!”

Mercedes Mone is having a great time in Japan, and she loves the culture. She also really respects their style of pro wrestling and is trying her best to soak up every moment of it.

We’ll have to see if another title run is on the way for Mercedes Mone in NJPW, but she will be around for a little bit longer to help stretch out that title chase.

What’s your take on Mercedes Mone in Japan? Do you want to see Sasha Banks back in WWE? Sound off in the comments!
