It’s been nearly a year since Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on WWE. Although Mercedes Mone is now doing her thing in Japan, Naomi hasn’t laid her stack down yet. That could change, and Trinity Fatu is staying ready.

Naomi is still training up a storm, and she proved this with a recent video uploaded by Kalisto. We’ll have to see how much reach she receives with this video drop, but she certainly gave fans the impression that she’s far from finished in the ring.

Trinity loved the video and tweeted out to say, “LUCHA! You’re the best my amigo thank you.”

In case you needed a refresher, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that STARDOM was told they could bring the former Naomi in, but she was too expensive.

The hard part about a longer commitment is that Bushiroad’s wrestling division, even though Stardom has grown greatly, has overall taken a major financial hit because of New Japan’s declines related to the pandemic, even with New Japan World up. Because of that, the wrestling division is under pressure to keep spending down. An example is that they were told they could bring in Trinity Fatu, but it was felt it would cost too much for the return and thus far hadn’t made that deal. Mone said later that her contract wasn’t expiring with this show which would indicate they’ve reached an agreement to continue and also said she wants to make Japan her new home.

Naomi has since clapped back at that report, calling it out as false. We’ll have to see where she ends up next, but Naomi is still in great shape and keeping that ring rust off of her.

What’s your take on Naomi’s in-ring return? Where do you want to see her go next? Sound off in the comments!
