Vince McMahon’s booking decisions are questionable at times, and WWE fans are not shy about voicing their opinions. That being said, a lot of pro wrestlers also have their own take on Vince McMahon’s booking.

Although Triple H is Chief Creative Officer for WWE, Vince McMahon still has a fair amount of control. He can certainly change a card when needed, which is, apparently, FTR isn’t comfortable with that situation. This led them to re-sign with AEW.

During the latest episode of the FTR podcast, Dax Harwood explained that FTR signed a new deal with AEW, because Vince McMahon only saw the Top Guys as numbers. Obviously, he is very happy with his decision in the end.

“[Tony Khan] cares about me, he cares about my family, he cares about the individuals that he pays on a bi-weekly basis. He cares about them as people. I felt that — this is gonna get a headline — working for Vince, I was just a number. And talked his minions underneath into thinking that everyone is just replaceable.”

FTR are one of the top tag team acts in the pro wrestling world, and they proved that on several occasions. The team was covered in gold during the latter part of 2022, and for good reason. Now, we will have to see what they do in AEW next, because they are not leaving Tony Khan’s company.

Some WWE fans might be a big disappointed that they don’t get to see Triple H book Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler again. Only time will tell what FTR says about WWE next, but they won’t be inking any deals with Vince McMahon.

What’s your take on FTR inking new deals with AEW? Should they have gone back to WWE? Sound off in the comments!
