Inspiration Behind Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn’s New Gear

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s careers have been intertwined for more than a decade now, which goes back to their days in ROH and PWG together. The two are now the Undisputed Tag Team Champions and with that, they changed up their current ring gear. Now it appears the inspiration behind the change in gear has finally come to light.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens challenged The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 39. It was truly an emotional bout from start to finish. In the end, Owens and Zayn won the match and became the new champions.

As is the case for every WWE Superstar, both Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have undergone numerous changes when it comes to their ring gear. Their gear at the Show of Shows truly solidified the fact that they are back as a tag team for good.

A fan recently took to Twitter and revealed that he had made a design for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s ring gear back in January, right after Zayn had turned on Roman Reigns. The fan then revealed Kevin Owens had personally messaged him and used his design as inspiration for their gear.

I am dead.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will be defending their Undisputed Universal Titles against The Usos in two weeks, in a rematch from their all-time classic at WrestleMania 39. We’ll have to see whether Owens and Zayn will be able to retain their titles.
