Saraya debuted in AEW back in 2022 and has since become one of the mainstays of AEW television. That said, Saraya has not forgotten who she has worked with during her time in WWE. This includes Alicia Fox, who she believes was a talented wrestler who deserved more recognition.

Alicia Fox had a long run in WWE for over ten years. The former WWE Superstar was popular for her foxy and crazy persona mixed with the unorthodox style of wrestling. She eventually won the Divas Championship, becoming the first African-American woman to win the title.

Saraya worked with Alicia Fox during her time in WWE and it is evident that Saraya thinks very highly of her former colleague. While speaking to Josh Martinez on Superstar Crossover, Saraya talked about working with Alicia Fox.

The current AEW star stated that she believes Alicia Fox was a superb professional wrestler, who simply never got the recognition she most definitely deserved. Saraya added that being part of the Divas era was why people dismissed Alicia Fox.

“So I actually posted this recently, but like, I feel like Alicia Fox didn’t get her flowers for the longest time. Because if you look back at her stuff, it’s everything looks aggressive, but she’s safe. All her matches were good. You have to watch them back. Because every time I wrestled her, I felt really, really safe. So I felt like she was very underrated. Also, she was in the Divas era. So if people didn’t give her the chance, and just thought, ‘No, she’s a diva, she could possibly be a good wrestler,’ but no, she was a great wrestler.”

Alicia Fox has not stepped inside a WWE ring for many years now. In the meantime, she did get engaged to be married last year. Regardless of what others think, Saraya will always think highly of Alicia Fox and that is all that matters.

Do you agree with Saraya’s comments about Alicia Fox? Does Alicia Fox actually deserve more recognition for her work inside the squared circle? Sound off in the comments!
