She has also broken barriers as far as being a female professional wrestler is concerned. Now it seems Becky Lynch believes gender no longer matters for WWE Superstars.

The Man has been at the top of her game for several years now, and she continues to be a source of inspiration for many. Becky Lynch is a real Superstar and her appeal has now crossed over to the mainstream.

Professional wrestling has gone through numerous changes over the past decade or so. This is especially the case when it comes to women’s wrestling, as they are no longer treated as mere eye candy now.

While speaking on Know Mercy with Stephen A. Smith, Becky Lynch talked about the importance of the growing share of the fanbase women have nowadays in general. Lynch stated that gender no longer matters for WWE Superstars and further explained her point.

“I think our female audience is 40% now? And I think you get that relatability. For example, the UFC, I prefer watching the women fight, because I’m a woman, so I can picture myself in that regard. It’s just … we’re all just people doing a sport. We’re all just telling stories. I think, gender aside, we do bring in a larger female audience because we show what [women are] capable [of]. But, in general, I think we’re at this stage, where, gender be damned, we’re just flowing with our stories and we’re just [WWE] Superstars.”

Becky Lynch also recently revealed her plans after retirement. It is very likely that a large number of fans will agree with what Becky Lynch had to say. We’ll have to wait and see whether women will be given even more focus in pro wrestling someday.
