Ariane Andrew performed under the name Cameron in WWE, but she hasn’t wrestled for a while. She started her journey on the Tough Enough reality series in 2011 and eventually became part of the Funkadactyls alongside Naomi. She was part of the Royal Rumble last year and it seems WWE asked her to make her return following the event.

Cameron made her surprise WWE return during last year’s Royal Rumble, where she was immediately eliminated by Sonya Deville. Naomi even stated that she will always have Cameron’s back after the match was over.

While speaking on Ring The Belle, Cameron talked about her Royal Rumble appearance last year. The former WWE Superstar claimed that the company had contacted her to come back for future appearances.

I was supposed to come back. It was such a roller coaster weekend. It was … doing the Rumble, then losing my dad, then getting the call on Tuesday being asked to come back.

Cameron said that she then received a text message on Thursday, where she was informed that her travel was being canceled, but wasn’t given a proper reason for the cancelation. According to Cameron, the initial plan was to continue the storyline between herself and Naomi, but the idea was never finalized.

“Naomi didn’t have anybody, and it’s like that was the perfect moment. And after that didn’t happen, I was like ‘When would there ever be another moment like this? It was like perfect timing.'”

After debuting on the main roster back in 2012, Cameron remained part of the company until her eventual departure back in 2016. She then made her debut in AEW back in 2020, under her name Ariane Andrew. That said, fans certainly wonder whether Cameron will ever return to WWE. With Naomi no longer part of Vince McMahon’s company, that seems highly unlikely now.
