AEW star Andrade El Idolo gave an interview over the weekend at WrestleCon with Lucha Libre Online, where he spoke about his contract and his injury status.

Andrade, who has been out of action since August due to a torn pec, clarified that he is with AEW and his contract will expire soon. He stated that he had undergone surgery for his injury in November and had to take a break for four months. However, he also mentioned that he is undergoing therapy for his injury and will be back in action soon.

“I’m with AEW, to make it clear. Soon my contract will expire. I had a tear in my chest and I got surgery in November. I was out for 4 months but soon I’ll be back. I was at the Hall of Fame accompanying my wife and to be next to a great friend Rey Mysterio…He’s the symbol for all the Latinos, Rey Mysterio.”

He also discussed his experience at the Hall of Fame and his admiration for Rey Mysterio, whom he considers the symbol for all Latinos. Andrade had accompanied his wife Charlotte Flair to the event and gave her some advice before her match at WrestleMania.
