AEW is always moving forward, but it seems that an injury took down one of the key members of their roster. Matt Jackson just came back a few months ago from his suspension after the Brawl Out situation, but now he’s going to take a bit more time off.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez revealed that Matt Jackson is currently out of action with a biceps injury. That being said, surgery is optional.

I just heard that it was a partially torn biceps, and it happened in the awesome Winnipeg match in Canada. It happened early in the match, but he worked through it. They don’t know if he’ll need surgery is what i heard.

Dave Meltzer then noted that Matt Jackson “opted not to have surgery,” so he wouldn’t be out for seven months after a surgery. That is why they ran the ambulance angle on Dynamite this week to cover for the fact that he is going to be gone.

We can only hope that Matt Jackson isn’t gone for long. After all, losing a key member of their roster is the last thing they need right now.

Are you shocked that Matt Jackson decided against surgery? Will you miss the Young Bucks in AEW? Sound off in the comments!
