Some pro wrestlers take a huge gamble when they leave their home company, but Jay White is in wonderful position after leaving NJPW. It seems that he has both of the top two pro wrestling companies in America looking to bring him in at this point. Now, the ball is in his court.

Jay White could be a breakout success in AEW or WWE, but it all depends on where he decides to go. At 30-years-old, he is young enough to make a huge decision about his career.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer broke down Jay White’s current situation. At this point, he wants to make a move back to the USA, also WWE and AEW are both interested. Now, it just depends on who offers him the best deal.

I don’t know where he’ll go, it’s between WWE and AEW last thing I heard, but that was two weeks ago. It was 50/50. It’s hard to say when that’s the thing, you know it just depends on who’s got the best plans, who offers the best money. Could be WWE, but if Tony [Khan] wants him, it could be AEW.

Jay White completely separated himself from NJPW, both by contract and creative angle. He lost a loser leaves Japan match to Hikuleo, and a changing of the guard moment happened in the Bullet Club as Davis Finlay was brought in to replace White.

This is a very interesting situation. WWE could have a bona fide star in Jay White, but they will also have to educate their fans quickly. Perhaps, debuting him on a huge stage like WrestleMania could always jumpstart that process, but it’s anyone’s guess what will go down in SoFi Stadium.

Do you expect to see Jay White in AEW or WWE? Would you be surprised to see a WrestleMania debut? Sound off in the comments section!
