WWE held their SmackDown show in Las Vegas this week, and the crowd was noticeably hot during the evening. That show was packed full of WrestleMania stories, and it seems that they also broke a record in the process.

According to a report from Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, WWE’s event in Las Vegas was a big money deal. Apart from premium live events, this week’s SmackDown made history as the highest WWE gate in the Las Vegas market.

Live events reports indicated that WWE Smackdown was the highest grossing non-PLE in the history of the Las Vegas market for WWE.

WWE concluded this week’s show with a big Bloodline segment as they had it out with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The night opened with Cody Rhodes’ first match on the blue brand in over half a decade, and fans were all about it.
