AEW has a stacked roster filled with insanely-talented superstars. That being said, there are stars who many fans believe are not being utilized to their true potential by Tony Khan. It seems that one particular star, who’s reportedly quite unhappy about his run, is done with Khan’s company.

Brian Cage gained recognition for his work in promotions such Lucha Underground and IMPACT Wrestling to name few. The Machine’s incredible strength and agility made him a household name on the independent circuit. Tony Khan brought Cage to AEW in 2020 and made him the FTW Champion.

Cage’s title reign, however, was cut short by Ricky Starks. It was reported at the time that he was unhappy about his booking. The Machine was moved to Ring of Honor in the wake of the promotion’s acquisition by Tony Khan, where he’s the reigning Six-Man Tag Team Champion alongside Kaun and Toa Liona.

The three men are set to defend their ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship against AR Fox, Metalik and Blake Christian at the Supercard of Honor pay-per-view event on March 31, 2023. The latest AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation tapings seem to suggest that the event will mark Cage’s final appearance for ROH and AEW.

The Gates of Agony (Kaun and Toa Liona) took on The Qrown (Leonis and Maximus) during the latest tapings at Universal Studios. One thing of note is that Kaun and Liona came out to the ring without their titles. Also, they didn’t have Brian Cage at ringside for the match.

With the taping set to air sometime after Supercard of Honor, Kaun and Lion’s entrance at the tapings strongly suggests that they will drop their titles to AR Fox, Metalik and Blake Christian. Moreover, it implies that Brian Cage will be gone after Supercard of Honor.

For those wondering, Cage’s contract with Tony Khan’s promotion is coming to an end soon. As of this writing, the two sides haven’t agreed to a new deal. It is also being reported that Cage agreed to an extension recently so that he could work the upcoming ROH show.

Do you want Brian Cage to extend his contract with Tony Khan’s promotion? Do you think The Embassy will drop their ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship at Supercard of Honor? Sound off in the comments!
