Tony Khan has his fair share of supporters, but fans of AEW are not shy about voicing their opinion at all. AEW’s booking won fans over in a big way, but in recent memory the criticism has become unavoidable, as much as AEW tries to target and delete those opinions. It seems that TK has a big supporter in Matt Hardy.

AEW opened their doors as an alternative for WWE. Plenty of fans were eager to see what this new version of pro wrestling would look like. The honeymoon phase is arguably over right now, and only time will tell what Tony Khan will do next to drive attention.

During his podcast, Matt Hardy spoke out to let people know where he stands. He said it is crazy that fans are picking Tony Khan’s booking apart.

“It’s a really intriguing concept that so many fans that consider themselves die hard fans, and this is no disrespect to them, but they are so caught up and captivated by the inner workings of the business and why things are happening. They feel like they can book better than the booker who actually runs the show. It’s so crazy now.

Wrestling fans feel so entitled, especially the more die-hard, smart fans that are online. They feel entitled like, ‘No, my opinion counts. You’re wrong and I’m right.’ That’s very strange, but it is what it is. That’s the world we live in today so we just have to learn how to deal with it, but at the end of the day, Tony Khan is the guy flipping the bills. He makes the decisions. He’s paying everybody, so it’s his decision to make. If he makes it, I support him 100%.”

Tony Khan will keep doing his thing as AEW continues in their current direction. He can also do whatever he likes, because it’s his company. We’ll have to see if he makes himself a part of the storyline, but fans still know exactly who is behind AEW’s creative.

What’s your take on AEW’s creative. Is WWE better by miles? Sound off in the comments!
