The Rey Mysterio versus Dominik Mysterio feud is one of the most captivating storylines going on in the world of pro wrestling today. The storyline has allowed Dominik to showcase his true potential and hold his own on the mic against his legendary father, with many calling it Dom’s best work to date.

The father and son are likely to collide at the upcoming WrestleMania 39 premium live event. As of this writing, WWE hasn’t made the match official but chances are they will officially announce the match on the go-home episode of WWE SmackDown for Mania.

Dom’s bitter treatment of Rey for not being there for him during his childhood is a focal point of the storyline. In fact, Rey’s absence bothered him so much that Dom said he wished Eddie Guerrero was his father. That particular promo was a callback to Eddie’s classic rivalry with Rey in 2005.

The storyline has received great praise from Eddie’s wife Vickie Guerrero. Speaking with The Whole Story Podcast, Vickie said she wishes she could be involved in the storyline. Check out her full comment below:

“My only reaction is that I wish I was part of it! I just think ‘Man, they’re having so much fun…. Dominik and Rhea have always texted me, and we talked back and forth, and they’ve always had my support.”

Rey Mysterio’s close friend Konnan thinks Dominik should go over against Rey at WrestleMania 39. The iconic luchadore will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on March 31, 2023. We’ll have to wait to see what Dominik has in store for his father’s upcoming induction.

Do you think WWE should’ve involved Vickie Guerrero in the Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio storyline? Will Dom ruin his father’s Hall of Fame induction on the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown? Sound off in the comments!
