AEW had built Hijo Del Vikingo’s match with Kenny Omega as an “international dream match” in the week leading up to Wednesday. Tonight, the international star finally made his in-ring debut for the promotion.

Hijo Del Vikingo made his AEW in-ring debut during Dynamite tonight. The AAA Mega Champion arrived at the Cable Dahmer Arena for the match. Vikingo showed up to the show with his AAA belt placed on his shoulder.

The international star didn’t wait for Kenny Omega to make his entrance as he immediately took him out with a suicide dive to the outside; a truly wild start to a huge match.
El Hijo Del Vikingo has been making waves in the wrestling world in recent months. Ranked #8 in the 2022 PWI 500 list last September, he has been gaining attention on the U.S. independent scene with appearances for promotions like GCW and Warrior Wrestling.
