WWE is always looking to do something unique when it comes to their big four premium live events. With SummerSlam being the next big PLE after WrestleMania, the company definitely wants to make the biggest party of the summer a success.

We previously reported that this year’s SummerSlam premium live event will emanate from the Detroit’s Ford Field on Saturday, August 5th. Now, we have have our first look at the official WWE SummerSlam 2023 logo.

It seems that WWE is back to using the name of the host cities along their premium live events as this year’s SummerSlam logo has Detroit written alongside it. The official branding reads, WWE SummerSlam Detroit.

The font for SummerSlam 2023 PLE is also different from the ones used in the past, giving it a more old-school feeling. This might resonate with fans who grew up watching the product during the more vibrant eras of WWE.

John Cena versus Logan Paul is a match that could take place at SummerSlam. The match-up was penciled-in for WrestleMania 39 at one point, but was scrapped and the company went with Cena versus Austin Theory and Logan versus Seth Rollins.
