WWE hasn’t held a King of the Ring premium live event since 2022, but that is about to change in just a matter of weeks. The company just confirmed that they’re bringing back the fabled pay-per-view event.

WWE dropped their first official promo for the upcoming King and Queen of the Ring premium live event. The PLE will emanate from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, May 27th.

This is the second time WWE will return to Saudi Arabia for their Queen of the Ring tournament. The inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament took place as part of the Crown Jewel PLE in Saudi Arabia on October 21, 2021, and was won by Zelina Vega.

WWE is reportedly planning to revive the Backlash premium live event in May as well. The first-ever Backlash PPV took place in 1999. The event was renamed to WrestleMania Backlash in 2021. However, WWE is said to be dropping the WrestleMania branding from Mania’s aftermath this year.
