As WrestleMania 39 rapidly approaches, the Hall of Fame induction ceremony is a crucial milestone leading up to WWE’s grandest event of the year. With the ceremony scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, Melina, a native Californian, has expressed her desire to be inducted this year.

Melina played a vital role in the women’s division during the mid-2000s, when the era of Lita and Trish Stratus was coming to a close. Alongside talented performers such as Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, and Mickie James, Melina helped lead the division during a time when female wrestlers did not have the same opportunities as they do today.

While she was a fan-favorite for a long time, Melina was not without her fair share of controversies as well. This included her backstage heat in WWE, which caused a lot of trouble for her.

While speaking during a recent virtual signing for the Asylum Wrestling Store, Melina stated that she believes she should be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year.

“I feel like if it doesn’t happen now, why at all anywhere else? Unless we go back to L.A… It’s kind of these things where it’s like, okay.” Melina added, “If it’s not in L.A, then it’s this feeling that I’m never gonna be in the Hall of Fame unless I die type of deal. That’s like 30 years from now or something like that.”

In January 2022, Melina made a surprise appearance in a WWE ring as the second entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. It was her most recent appearance in the company to date. We’ll have to see if she will get inducted into the Hall Of Fame this year.
